Complex Behaviour

Currently several societal trends are happening, causing public organisations to be confronted more and more with complicated, demanding, aggressive or manipulative behaviour.

One of these developments, is the increasing number of people suffering from mental illness. In the Netherlands alone, this number has gone up from 1,9 million to 3,3 million on a population of 18 million over the last ten years.
A completely different societal trend, are the changes being observed in the brains of youngsters. (Ask for our publications on this topic for more information.)

These and several other trends, lead to a vastly increasing number of confrontations with unexpected or unpleasant behaviour. Even in organisations where this up until recently used to be a rare occurrence. Like for example hospitals and first responders, town halls, community centres and libraries.

Because of our special expertise in human behaviour, several organisations have asked us to develop an effective response to this trend. So we designed for them:

A special training program, enabling trainees to recognize different kinds of behaviour quickly. So they can distinguish immediately between – for example – someone with mental troubles and someone trying to manipulate them.
Conversation techniques based upon our Verbal Judo ©, allowing trainees to remain in full control over an interaction while minimizing the risk of provoking irritation and aggression. Which reduces the number of incidents.

Next to this, we also offer several types of consultancy. Like case discussions, in which strategies are formulated to deal with concrete problem situations. And management consultancy, for designing the steps by which organisations can gain control over these problems in a more structural way.
